Cheddar Cheese Biscuits
Ingredients:
- ½ cup all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/8 teaspoon sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ½ cup shredded low fat cheddar cheese
- 3 tablespoons low fat milk
Directions:
Preheatoven to 450ºF (230 ºC). Mix flour, baking powder, cream of tartar, sugar and salt in medium bowl. Add butter and mix until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in Cheddar cheese. Add milk; stir until mixture forms soft dough.
Placeon lightly floured surface; knead until smooth. Make a small square with the dough, and cut into four squares. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake10 to 12 min. or until golden brown.
